Partnership and networking lies in the centre of APAARI’s work. The transformation of agri-food systems and the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) cannot be achieved by APAARI, or any other development actor alone. Multiple organizations from private, public and civil sectors need to be comprehensively linked at local, national, sub-regional, regional and global levels to bring about large-scale development change. APAARI as a regional platform is connecting national, regional and global stakeholders working within agri-food research and innovation systems, fostering partnerships and networking through face-to face and virtual interactions.

Today, APAARI has 81 members that actively share agricultural research and innovations, as well as their experiences and lessons learned, to contribute to the strengthening of agri-food research and innovation systems. These members, as well as partners and other stakeholders, are jointly working together to achieve APAARI Vision 2030 – “Strengthened research and innovations for sustainable agricultural development in Asia and the Pacific”. APAARI makes continuous efforts to seek involvement of all stakeholders that are willing to play an active role in strengthening agri-food research and innovation to make the Asia-Pacific region more sustainable.
