The Akshaya Patra Foundation and the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) recently published a three-month feeding study, which introduced millet as a rice substitute to 1,500 children in India. The study suggests that millet-based meals can increase relative growth in children by 50% and considered vital in addressing malnutrition and general diet.
