Executive Director, Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), Ghana, visited APAARI

Dr Yemi Akinbamijo, Executive Director, Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), Ghana,  visited APAARI, on October 3, 2017 to discuss the partnership between APAARI and FARA for fostering an inter-regional cooperation and synergy in the common mandates of the two regional organizations. During the discussion several areas of possible partnership were identified to be captured on a Partnership Statement

• Exchange knowledge and expertise of agricultural research, innovation and development;
• Jointly scope for regional and inter-regional projects on agricultural related to research, policy, innovation, development, capacity development and policy advocacy with a special focus on women and youth in agriculture;
• Organize activities of mutual interest including conferences, workshops and training programs in fulfilment of their common goals;
• Explore the possibility of synergizing their activities in biotechnology and bio resources;
• Participate in apex committees of the other party on reciprocal basis.
