Peter Horne is the General Manager for Country Programs at the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (www.aciar.gov.au). In that role he coordinates ACIAR’s investments in the Indo-Pacific region to ensure that they address key issues and opportunities of ACIAR’s partner countries.   Peter spent 25 years living and working in Southeast Asia as a researcher in smallholder livestock systems and livelihoods. He has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences from Griffith University and a PhD from University of New England. Peter has a passion for mentoring a new generation of researchers to become involved in international research partnerships for the benefit of developing countries.
